The clergy foretell of the love of a deity

\nThen they pass the collection plate round to the laity
\nTo pay for their whisky and beer.<\/p>\n
And good pious monks who ferment and distil it
\nWill sell you some hooch for a fee
\nBut a priest with a plate will demand that you fill it
\nCos you don\u2019t get salvation for free!<\/p>\n
Some clergymen lack any sense of vocation
\nAnd most of them like to imbibe
\nThey could all buy their own so withhold your donation
\nFor God has no need of the bribe!<\/p>\n
